Momma’s Boy

I am pretty sure this topic will get some flack but, the story must be told. The good old Momma’s Boy in a Relationship. Woman who are in a relationship with momma boys get ready to play the back seat to a woman that is twice your age still treating him like a baby. The role of being a girlfriend to a momma’s boy is a hell of a task and it takes thick skin. I say this because these guys are so use to their mother doing things for them that when you come in the picture they kind of look for you to do the things their mother was doing for them which, is pretty impossible going up against her. I can say this because I saw this in a family relationship were a relative of mines was a momma’s boy and I just felt bad for his partner. Tina Turner said what’s love got to do with it and she hit that nail on the head because love is not worth tolerating playing second fiddle when you should be number one. The mother would cook all of his favorite foods and nobody could touch it until he eats it first. Argument between the couple come up and he would either call his mother or go straight over there. Sometimes the person would even stay a few nights because of course she kept the extra bedroom available for him as if he never moved out. Yes, this kind of relationship is very hard to grow if the man is still acting like a boy. It is not easy when the mother in law is always looking at you as if you were such a bad person due to the information he would bring to her about you, like he was innocent. No matter is he was wrong or not, he would never be wrong in his mother’s eyes. What makes it so hard dealing with a relationship like this is from what I was told is, the men are afraid to stand up to their mothers which puts a strain on the relationship because the majority of the things the mother is doing is to spite the woman but the man would say she does not mean no harm. So in cases like this he is blind to the fact, emotionally scared of hurting his mother’s feelings or he does not believe what he is saying. At the end of the day, if you are dating a momma’s boy, you are dating his mother too. This is JMO (Just my Opinion).
